Work with a Tight-Knit Rōpū Committed to Whānau-Led Suicide Prevention
The Centre for Māori Suicide Prevention, a part of Te Rau Ora that leads kaupapa and uplift the wellbeing of Māori and strengthen community-led solutions to prevent suicide across Aotearoa. Our work is grounded in mātauranga Māori, local leadership, and the empowerment of whānau, rangatahi, and communities to enhance their own wellbeing.
We recognise that the causes of suicide for Māori are complex and multifaceted. That’s why our approach champions whānau- and community-driven responses that honour the economic, physical, spiritual, and cultural dimensions of health. By building capability, raising awareness, and advocating for the determinants that impact Māori wellbeing, we ensure that communities have the tools, voice, and support to sustain their own wellness.
Joining our team means being part of a kaupapa that is deeply relational, culturally anchored, and committed to strengthening Māori futures. We’re looking for people who are passionate about community empowerment, confident in working with Māori worldviews and practices, and dedicated to creating meaningful change for whānau and hapori across the motu.
If you’re ready to be part of a kaupapa that centres Māori voices, uplifts communities, and creates lasting impact — we’d love to hear from you. Tūhono mai. Join us.
